According to South Korea's "Cultural Daily" report, the Danish Odense Shipyard has started construction of a 12,000 TEU container ship for Maersk, the world's largest shipping company. With a total length of 390 meters and a width of 55 meters, the ship is the largest container ship ever built in the world. Previously, the largest container ship was 9,600 TEU, which was completed by Samsung Heavy Industries in late June and delivered to the shipowner China Shipping Group. The ship has been put into operation a few days ago. This is the first largest container ship to be put into operation in the global shipping market.
