Material composition and optional classification of quartz vein containing gold ore

Quartz vein containing gold ores consisting relatively simple, mainly composed of quartz, the content thereof is 50% to 95%, mineral content less than 15% metal. Pyrite is the main sulfide minerals, pyrrhotite and secondly there is a small amount of galena, brass ore. Gold minerals are mainly free natural gold, which is simple in existence, and most of them are symbiotic with quartz and pyrite. In addition to gold in ore, other elements generally have no recycling value. According to the composition of ore, the degree of oxidation, and the symbiotic relationship between gold and other minerals, the quartz vein-containing gold ore is classified as shown in Table 1.

Table 1 Optional classification of quartz vein containing gold ore
Ore type
feature
Optional and beneficiation methods
I
Quartz containing gold ore
The basic component of the ore is quartz (content of more than 90%), the metal mineral is natural gold, and there are almost no heavy metals, sulfides, and gold particles.
The coarse-grained ore is easily recovered from the gold or fine-grained ore by amalgamation and re-election, and is treated by the living-cyanation method of carrying-off flotation.
Contains a small amount of sulfide

II
Gold and sulphide are closely related
The metal mineral is mainly pyrite, the sulfide content is 1 to 5%, the gangue mineral is mainly quartz, the natural gold is more than 60% and the sulfide is symbiotic, and the gold is mostly medium and fine.
It is an easy-to-select ore, suitable for recycling by flotation, and flotation concentrate can be cyanated.
III
Gold and quartz are closely related
Less metal sulphide content, 70% of gold and gangue minerals such as quartz symbiosis, fine-grained ore substantially free of arsenic, antimony, copper and other elements.
Suitable for flotation of flotation concentrates for cyanidation; amalgamation or re-election method as an auxiliary method for recovering coarse gold.
IV
Pyrite-containing gold quartz vein ore
The mineral composition is similar to ore II. The main difference is that the sulfide content is high (5-15%) and gold is 75-99%. Coexisting with pyrite.
Easy to float, the index is up to 95%, and the flotation concentrate has high sulfur content and can be comprehensively utilized.

Oxidized ore
V
Partial oxidation ore
The main metal mineral is limonite, which also contains a small amount of pyrite. The gangue is quartz, chalcedony quartz, etc. Gold is present in the fractures of gangue minerals and metal minerals. The iron ore containing gold is the ore. The main features of the mineral composition.
Mainly by amalgamation (re-election) plus full mud cyanide or flotation flotation.
VI oxidized ore
Containing no sulfides, most of the gold is present in the main gangue minerals and the weathered metal oxide residual particles, containing mud.
Float method
The coarse gold is recovered by amalgamation and re-election, and then classified, the sludge is stirred and cyanated, and the ore is cyanated.
