Duke University has found a way to take a course: its researchers have used computer models to help generate two new magnetic materials. How stable are they? Do they have a "magnetic moment" that determines the intensity of the reaction to the external magnetic field? One effort from Duke University, a mixture of cobalt, magnesium, and titanium, produced a material that was even magnetic at extremely high temperatures, and it stopped working before it might require more testing.
