Recently, the 2012 China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Development Forum and the 2012 “Engine of the Year†award ceremony were successfully held in Beijing. At the meeting, Weichai Power Heavy Duty Diesel and Yangchai Light Diesel were both selected as the “Energy-saving Engine of the Year†award.
The event was jointly organized by China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, People's Daily, and China Automotive News. On the site, the organizer announced the 2012 "Energy-saving Engine of the Year" award, the 2012 "Quality Engine of the Year" award, the 2012 "Environmental Protection Engine of the Year" award, and the 2012 "Technical Leading Engine of the Year" award. Among them, Weichai Power WP12.460E40 heavy-duty diesel engine and Yangchai YZ4DA1-40 light-duty diesel engine were shortlisted for the 2012 "Energy-saving Engine of the Year" award for the Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Group and the Light-duty Diesel Engine Group. The "Energy-saving Engine of the Year" was the highest award for this year's engine selection.
