Wuhai coke oven gas utilization project put into production

It was learned from CNPC that on October 11th, the integrated energy-saving and emission reduction project of coke oven gas invested by China Petroleum Kunlun Energy Company Huayou Natural Gas Company was put into operation in Wuhai.

As the world's first large-scale coke oven gas methanation liquefied natural gas project, Wuhai Huayou coke oven gas comprehensive energy-saving emission reduction projects include two coke oven gas LNG plant, Wuhai-Yinchuan 223 kilometers gas pipeline With LNG refueling stations, the total investment is 4.7 billion yuan. The project started construction in April 2011. The terminal is supporting the construction of a coke oven gas replacement natural gas transformation project in Ningxia Petrochemical. On September 27, through the longest-distance hydrogen-rich coke oven gas transmission pipeline in the world, the purified gas was successfully introduced into Ningxia Petrochemical. The project achieved the goal of overall production in the first phase.

This project adopts the world's advanced technology to efficiently use coke oven gas and is a demonstration project to realize emission reduction. It will collect and treat coke oven gas from 9 coke plants in Wuhai, and produce 500,000 tons of liquefied natural gas per year, reducing CO2 emissions by 207 Ten thousand tons, reducing sulfur emissions by 1,640 tons. The project terminal leads to coke oven gas from Ningxia Petrochemical, and after processing, it will replace natural gas as raw material for fertilizer plant production.

At present, the second-phase methanation and liquefaction project of this project is under construction and is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2013.

Manifold Blocks

A hydraulic manifold is a manifold that regulates fluid flow between pumps and actuators and other components in a hydraulic system. It is like a switchboard in an electrical circuit because it lets the operator control how much fluid flows between which components of a hydraulic machinery. For example, in a backhoe loader a manifold turns on or shuts off or diverts flow to the telescopic arms of the front bucket and the back bucket. The manifold is connected to the levers in the operator's cabin which the operator uses to achieve the desired manifold behaviour.

A manifold is composed of assorted hydraulic valves connected to each other. It is the various combinations of states of these valves that allow complex control behaviour using a manifold.
