General Motors has developed a 13-litre ordinary rail-turbo diesel engine with a maximum torque of 200 N•m and an output of 66 kW. The engine is the smallest of its kind in the world, with a length of 460 mm and a width and height of 500 mm and 650 mm respectively.

The engine is made of a grey cast iron casing with excellent stability, with bore and stroke of 69.6 mm and 82 mm, respectively, which makes it possible to maintain smooth running characteristics. The base plate and cylinder head are machined from lightweight aluminum.
