Construction and technical operation of air-mechanical stirring adsorption tank

Activated carbon adsorption in the CIP plant has been dissolved gold is adsorbed in the finished tank. Commonly used adsorption tanks include air-mechanical stirring adsorption tank, air stirring adsorption tank, mechanical stirring adsorption tank, and the like. The structure of the air-mechanical stirring adsorption tank is shown in the figure below.

The leached slurry enters the adsorption tank 2 along the feed pipe 1, the transmission system 3 drives the impeller 5 through the main shaft 4, and the compressed air entering the adsorption tank through the intake pipe 6, so that the slurry in the tank is mixed with the activated carbon and suspended, after adsorption The slurry passes through the interstage screen 7 at the upper portion of the adsorption tank and flows along the slurry discharge pipe 8 to the next adsorption tank, while the activated carbon is blocked by the sieve and remains in the tank to continue adsorption. In order to prevent the screen hole from being blocked, a nozzle 9 is provided to inject the gas stream toward the screen to clean it. The charcoal and slurry are transported forward and this is done by the air lifter 10.

There are many types of interstage sieves, and the bridge sieve (above) has many applications in practice because of its simple structure and convenient use. In order to facilitate the replacement of the screen, the bridge screen is often made into a number of small screen inserts so that any one of the screens can be replaced at any time. The mesh size is generally 20 to 24 mesh. The length of the screen is often calculated based on the amount of slurry passed through the adsorption tank, and the amount of slurry passing through the screen per unit length is 6.5 liters/meter sec. In order to prevent the screen from being clogged, the bridge screen needs to agitate the slurry near the screen with a low-pressure air stream, and the low-pressure air volume required per unit length screen is 1 m 3 /m•min.
The structure of the air lifter is shown below.

An air lifter is a device that uses a stream of air to deliver slurry and activated carbon. The use of an air lifter can greatly reduce the wear of activated carbon. The increased throughput varies with the air pressure in the air riser, the density of the char in the slurry, the density of the slurry, and other factors, and is determined in the technical specifications.
