In order to improve the quality of open-pit mine blasting, there are several effective methods:
(1) Multi-row hole millisecond blasting. It has significant advantages: the rock is broken evenly, the bulk rate is low, the explosion is concentrated, and the backlash is small. It can make full use of the kinetic energy of the rock after blasting to transform it into mechanical work that collides with each other, thus generating supplementary crushing.
(2) Reasonable charge structure. The use of a spacer charge or a mixed charge structure can change the distribution of the explosives, which is beneficial to reduce the generation of large blocks.
(3) Oblique hole blasting. The inclined hole blasting is adopted to make the size of the stagnation line of the step evenly uniform, thereby facilitating the improvement of the blasting basin.
(4) Use the residual explosion to control the throw.
(5) High-step blasting. The use of high-step blasting has the following advantages: double the increase of one blasting amount, which is conducive to the parallel operation of the blasting, loading and transporting work, the effective length of the blasthole charge is relatively increased, the explosion energy is concentrated, and the quality of the broken rock is improved. The reduction of backlash and ultra-drilling damage to the Wei Na rock mass. Reducing the number of ultra-drilling and opening holes is beneficial to improve drilling efficiency.
