The recall on the 14th was the largest recall of Volkswagen's history in China. In April this year, Volkswagen recalled 380,000 defective cars due to DSG issues. The relevant person in charge said that the recall is mainly for vehicles equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DQ200). 13th: Volkswagen recalls some imported Tuway and domestic Tiguan cars
The main reason for this recall is that the synthetic oil used in the vehicle's transmission may cause a fault in the power supply line inside the transmission, which may cause the transmission to malfunction. But Volkswagen China also said that even in this case, the driver can maintain control of the car until safe parking. Therefore, the vehicles involved in the recall can still be used normally.
The vehicle involved in the recall will be actively contacted by the dealer to implement the recall. Volkswagen will replace the gearbox oil of the affected vehicle from synthetic oil to mineral oil for free, and provide users with the latest control software for free. Volkswagen said: A large number of research and testing prove that the use of mineral oil to replace synthetic oil can avoid the above problems.
