The National "863" project "Commercial Vehicle Hybrid Powertrain System" jointly completed by Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Shanghai Haineng Automobile Electronics Co., Ltd. passed the expert appraisal in Nanning.
The appraisal committee believes that this achievement is China's first self-developed commercial vehicle hybrid powertrain system using a single-axis parallel system. It has independent intellectual property rights in the mechatronics design, and has obtained four utility model patents. The level has reached the domestic lead.
According to reports, the hybrid powertrain is a key automotive technology that solves the current problems of China's energy security and environmental protection. The Yuchai commercial vehicle hybrid powertrain system not only fills domestic gaps, but also has performance comparable to international advanced level, and the price is about 10% lower than foreign similar products.
