The quality and use of agricultural inputs such as pesticides, fertilizers, and feed additives directly affect the quality and safety of agricultural products. In this four-month special rectification operation, the remediation team has investigated the handling of highly toxic pesticides as four key tasks. First, investigated and punished five kinds of highly toxic pesticides such as methamidophos, parathion, methyl parathion, monocrotophos, and phosphoamine that were banned on January 1, 2007. The country collected a total of 875.8 tons of highly toxic pesticides. And destroy it all. At present, the nationwide violations of the production, sales, and use of five kinds of highly toxic pesticides such as methamidophos are basically eliminated.
At the same time, in this special rectification campaign, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a total of 325 agricultural product quality and safety standards, including 98 pesticide residue limit standards, 11 pesticide residue detection methods, and 14 veterinary drug residue detection methods.
In addition, this special rectification action also regards the supervision of agricultural input products as a key link, strengthens the market supervision of pesticides, especially highly toxic pesticides, removes registration permits for 11 highly toxic pesticides from 7 companies, and launches “national pesticides. The supervision and management network linkage system has realized the sharing of information among the agricultural departments of all localities, joint investigations and joint operations, and joint inspections.
Gao Hongbin pointed out that we must proceed from the long-term interests, implement the safe production of agricultural products, and use scientifically and reasonably agricultural inputs such as chemical fertilizers and pesticides to ensure the sustainable development of our country's agriculture.
It is reported that in order to consolidate the achievements of this special rectification, the Ministry of Agriculture will continue to strengthen the long-term mechanism for the supervision of quality and safety of agricultural products.
