On March 18, the world's first 10,000-ton methanol-based aromatics industrial test facility, commissioned by the National Energy Administration and organized by the China National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, “Development of Fluidized Bed Methanol Aromatic Hydrocarbons (FMTA) Catalysts†and “Fluidization†"Two sets of scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting for FMTA production of industrial technology" was held in Beijing. Deng Jianling, deputy general manager of Huadian Corporation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Deng Jianling pointed out that Huadian Yulin Coal Resources Circular Economy Comprehensive Utilization Project is a new coal, electricity, and chemical integrated industry developed and constructed by Huadian Group in accordance with the development model of circular economy and comprehensive utilization of resources. The pre-project 10,000-ton methanol-to-aromatic industrial test facility is the world's first industrial test facility jointly built by Huadian Coal and Tsinghua University. After two years of practice, the installation industrial test work has been successfully completed. It is hoped that through expert review and appraisal, we will further increase the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, accelerate the construction of a one-million-ton-ton coal-to-aromatics industrial demonstration project, realize large-scale production as soon as possible, and promote the transition from low-level energy development to high-end resource economics, making coal stronger and bigger. The meeting responded with questions and discussed two research reports on scientific and technological achievements. The experts of the appraisal committee unanimously agreed to pass the appraisal, and proposed economic evaluation to speed up the application of technology.
Huadian Group's 10,000-ton methanol-to-aromatic industrial test facility was invested by Huadian Coal Group Co., Ltd., and it uses the independent research and development technology of Tsinghua University and the world's first 10,000-ton industrial device that was jointly developed by both parties. The device was ignited on January 11 and achieved a successful trial run. Once it was opened, it passed the 72-hour on-site assessment.
