On March 29, 2012, the height of the four towers of the Three Gorges Dam lift has been poured to 189.15 meters, and the design elevation is 190 meters. It is expected that the tower will be capped at the end of June. The Three Gorges shiplift is currently the largest and most technically difficult shiplift in the world. It has a maximum lift of 113 meters and a maximum weight of more than 13,000 tons. It can carry 3,000 tons of ships across the dam.
