Sewage treatment and upgrading of six disruptive technologies

From December 8 to December 8, 2016, the 11th China International Conference on Urban Water Development and New Technology and Equipment Expo opened at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. The seminar conducted an in-depth and comprehensive discussion on the current state of water affairs, objectives, relevant policies and implementation in China. The forum held in parallel discussed and displayed the most cutting-edge and core concepts and technologies in the industry.

On the afternoon of December 9, 2016, Professor Wang Hongchen, Special Adviser to Shangchuan (Beijing) Water Co., Ltd. and Director of Low-carbon Water Environment Technology Research Center of Renmin University made a wonderful speech in the sub-forum of "Sewage Treatment and Upgrading and Rehabilitation" The problems existing in the operation of the plant and the challenges it faces in the future are thoroughly analyzed, and the disruptive technologies for optimizing operation of the six WWTPs are highlighted.

Professor Wang Hongchen pointed out that China's urban sewage treatment business developed rapidly in the "11th Five-Year Plan" and "12th Five-Year Plan" periods and its daily processing capacity has reached as high as 162 million cubic meters, exceeding the capacity of 125 million cubic meters in the United States. However, The difference between the developed countries is still relatively large, mainly reflected in the effluent quality can not be stable compliance, and energy consumption is too high. On the basis of the current sewage treatment plant construction, through the optimization of existing facilities and the combination of new optimization technologies, the potential for water quality improvement and material and material consumption reduction is very large.

In view of the ubiquitous problems of low efficiency, ambiguity of process monitoring, incomplete demand response mechanism and unreasonable technological process in China's sewage treatment plants, Professor Wang Hongchen proposed six sub-standard technologies for upgrading wastewater treatment plants:

(1) a new type of polymer elastomer aerator

Aeration system is the most energy-intensive unit in WWTPs, accounting for 50-70% of the plant's total energy consumption. Aerators are the most critical equipment in aeration systems, accounting for less than 0.5% of WWTPs. At present, the aerator adopts two major categories of ceramics and rubber, but generally there are problems such as poor oxygenation performance, easy clogging, short service life, etc., resulting in low operating efficiency and high energy consumption of the waterworks, resulting in far less economic loss than aerators Own investment. Therefore, to improve the aerator quality, for the improvement of water efficiency is crucial. The aerators to be used in future WWTPs should have the following three characteristics:

Long-term stable operation (no tear, no aging, no scaling, no leakage, long life);

Oxygenation performance (OTE, OTR, AE and other indicators of high oxygenation);

Adjust the quality of good (aeration efficiency of the sensitivity of poor aeration).

The new polymer elastomer aerator to overcome the shortcomings of the current aerator, along with the above three features, can greatly improve the efficiency of the water plant aeration system, and improve the stability of the treatment system. The relationship between the relationship between the survival of enterprises, but also related to the improvement of water environment in our country. Shangchuan Water has formulated a clear technical road map for the future standardization of wastewater treatment and upgrading. It hopes to lead the industry forward through continuous efforts and innovation in the future.
