According to Kura, because the robot has been greatly improved in speed and accuracy, it can reduce the cost of waste generated by laser cutting and other applications, which can improve cost-effectiveness. In addition, the robot's payload can reach 100kg, the effective contact distance is 3000mm, and the path repeatability is about ±0.1mm.
Kura's marketing director Kevin Kozuszek said, "This robot is especially suitable for high-precision work such as laser welding, laser cutting and measuring." The robot has three models: KUKA KR 100 HA is the basic model with a reachable distance of 2600mm and a payload of up to 100kg; KUKA KR 100 L90 HA is an advanced model with an accessible distance of up to 2800mm and a 200mm extension arm The payload is 90kg; the KUKA KR 100 L80 HA has a reachable distance of 3000mm, with a 400mm extension arm and a payload of 80kg.
