The Ministry of Commerce has stepped up preparations for the first China International Component Exhibition

At 9 o'clock on the morning of June 7, the director of Harbin Mechatronics Office Chen Dongkai received a telephone call from the Ministry of Commerce; at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, he took a plane to Taiyuan and attended the first China International Auto Parts held in Taiyuan the next day. Exhibition of Investment Invitation and Recruitment.
On the same day, relevant responsible persons of the electromechanical offices of 16 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) received the same phone call.
On the morning of the next day, nearly 30 people in charge of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, the Organizing Committee of the Expo, and the electromechanical offices of various places gathered in Taiyuan to jointly plan for the Expo held in Beijing at the end of November.
Can only succeed, can not fail. The goal of the Ministry of Commerce is to build it into a glorious event with international auto parts exhibitions in Las Vegas and Frankfurt in the next three to five years and a professional exhibition that is second only to the Canton Fair in China and exceeds the High Fair.
International platform
In recent years, domestic auto parts companies have made rapid technological advances, and their scale has continued to expand. A number of companies with strong capabilities have emerged. The process of integration into the global procurement system has been accelerating and the number of overseas exports has risen significantly.
Many European and American companies, especially aftermarket suppliers in the field of maintenance services, all want to purchase Chinese parts and components, but suffer from poor information and can not find a suitable company, and China's parts and components companies "going out" are also hampered.
At present, although there are some spare parts exhibitions in China, the level is low, the influence is not enough, and there is no professional high-level auto parts exhibition. The Beijing and Shanghai international auto shows are also mainly oriented to vehicle companies.
“This is the only national and international auto parts expo that our country has approved by the Chinese government.” According to Zhang Jian, deputy director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, this will provide a good opportunity for domestic companies. Therefore, domestic companies can see advanced products, technologies and development trends in the world without going abroad.
There are sellers and buyers. General Motors, Toyota, Ford, BMW, SAIC, FAW, Chery and other vehicle companies will all be present. Bosch and Delphi will also exhibit the most advanced technologies and products by air.
"This is not just a display of parts, but a complete presentation of the entire industry chain." He said, "We want to build a window to showcase our strength, a platform for the exchange of Chinese and foreign auto parts industry, and enhance our entire automotive supply chain." The level of the platform.” He stressed: “We will firmly seize the initiative of this exhibition, adopt an international mode of organizing exhibitions, reject transnational giants' pavilions, and not sell whole vehicles.”
It is reported that during the exhibition, several high-level ministerial-level forums will also be held to introduce domestic and foreign parts market access and purchase standards of well-known automobile companies.
Three thresholds
Zhang Jian pointed out that in order to ensure the quality and grade of domestic exhibitors, and to eliminate intellectual property infringement and other disputes, the organizing committee set a threshold for exhibitors, preferring not to abuse.
The conditions for enterprises to participate in the fair are: Qualifications for corporate legal persons, domestic sales in 2006 of more than 10 million yuan, or export value of more than 1 million US dollars; no intellectual property infringement, commercial trade fraud and other illegal acts.
Of these three thresholds, the most important is intellectual property rights. The Organizing Committee of the Expo will set up an Intellectual Property Protection Office to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of exhibitors.
Zhang Hao cited an example. A foreign company contacted a domestic parts and components company in accordance with the contact information on a Chinese parts and components manufacturer's directory, and finally learned that the company had closed down as early as two years ago. Some domestic agencies also provide these old business directories to foreign buyers.
Zhang Hao said that this damaged China's national image. An important task of the local electromechanical office is to pay close attention to checking the local auto parts production enterprise directory and implement dynamic management of the directory. At that time, the Expo will publish the latest and most authoritative list of Chinese auto parts companies.
Expansion effect
The Expo Organizing Committee said that although the Expo has not yet been convened, it has already had an impact throughout the world.
Some car designers on the side of the British town are designing products for Chinese companies. When they learned that it was necessary to hold such an exposition in China at the end of the year, they actively asked the local government to organize them to exhibit in China.
China's embassies abroad often receive local telephone consultations and ask whether the Ministry of Commerce of China is holding this expo. Is it really the invitation of so many internationally renowned enterprises to participate? After receiving a positive reply, they took the initiative to come to the door and asked to exhibit.
The fair’s website rankings have also risen sharply. The website was opened at the end of March this year. At the time it was ranked more than 5 million; at the end of April, it rose to 3.5 million, and by the end of May it had risen to 500,000, showing a leaping upward trend.
Some other well-known foreign companies stated that in order to better procure in China, they will change the original procurement time and methods, instead of purchasing on-site at the annual expo.
Zhang Hao said: "We organize this fair, it is like a UN exhibition. The greater the impact in the international auto parts industry, the better."
