Honeywell Introduces PX2 Series Heavy Duty Pressure Transmitter

Recently, Honeywell has introduced the new PX2 series of heavy-duty pressure transmitters based on the existing heavy-duty pressure product line. The PX2 Series is a highly configurable stainless steel pressure measurement solution designed to withstand harsh media such as refrigerants, brake fluids, hydraulic fluids, engine oils, tap water and compressed air.
The PX2 Series is designed to monitor performance and efficiency in a wide range of potential industrial applications, including HVAC/R equipment, air compressors, system pressures, factory automation, pneumatics, valves, pumps, packaging/lamination equipment, sprayers, lasers, foams Dispensing, solar and emissions monitoring. Its potential transportation (heavy equipment, alternative fuel vehicles) applications include: system pressure, pneumatics, light hydraulics, brake and engine oil pressure, transmission and truck/trailer air brakes.
AJ Smith, Director of Global Product Marketing, Honeywell Sensing & Controls, said: "The PX2 Series is designed with the customer in mind, designed to be highly configurable and durable, and has a wide pressure range that allows customers to choose from the benefits. Reduce the size and functionality of design and implementation costs while meeting challenging application requirements."
The PX2 series combines piezoresistive sensing and ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) signal conditioning technology. Reliable performance in demanding environments thanks to multi-media compatibility, protection levels up to IP69K and CE compliance.
Targeted for configurability, the PX2 Series is equipped with a wide range of standard or custom connectors, pressure ports, pressure types and ranges, and output options, allowing customers to configure their equipment to meet their application needs and get product samples quickly. When configured according to system requirements, the PX2 Series reduces the cost of design and implementation of the final product. This series will periodically add new standard models.
With the onboard ASIC, the PX2 series of sensors are fully calibrated and compensated for zero position, sensitivity, temperature effects and non-linearity. With an industry-leading ± 2% total error band over the -40 oC to 125 oC [-40 °F to 257 °F] compensation temperature range, the PX2 series offers extremely low accuracy and excellent inter-compatibility Transmutability eliminates the need for testing and calibration of individual sensors while meeting customer system accuracy and quality assurance requirements.
This series of transmitters measures absolute pressure and seal gauge pressure. Among them, the absolute pressure type product has an internal vacuum reference, and the output value is proportional to the absolute pressure; the sealed gauge type product has a standard atmospheric pressure internal pressure reference. Both products range in pressure from 7 bar to 34 bar [100 psi to 500 psi] and will be further expanded. The PX2 series products have good EMC protection and are protected from environmental electromagnetic interference.

Plasma Coated Canisters

Anomatic`s dedication to providing cost effective solutions to the metered-dose inhaler industry has resulted in the development of a unique plasma treatment process that significantly reduces the surface energy of the inside of the canister. Using ultra-pure monomers, the Anomatic system achieves a hydrophobic surface with a contact angle greater than 90 degrees. This helps to prevent the adhesion of the formulation to the canister wall
