Argentina launches anti-dumping investigations on dyes, pigments and products in China

On August 4, 2008, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Argentina issued Resolution 189/2008 to initiate anti-dumping investigations on dyes, pigments and coloring materials originating in China. The products involved in the customs code are (pigment), (acidic dyes) and (direct dyes).

According to customs statistics, the amount of pigments, acid dyes, and direct dyes exported to Argentina in 2007 was not large, with 1,218 tons of pigments exported, and foreign exchange earnings of US$6.09 million; 133 tons of acid dyes exported, US$5.5 million in foreign currency exchange; and 56 tons of direct dye exports. Earn 230,000 U.S. dollars. However, the huge potential of the South American market should arouse our concern, and relevant companies must also pay attention to it.
