Tahe Oilfield application of new thickening pump

A new type of immersion thickening pump successfully conducted pilot test in well TK488. Recently, such thickening pump started to be expanded in the heavy oil area of Tahe Oilfield in Northwest Branch, which is expected to improve the development of heavy oil wells. Northwest Branch Tahe oilfield heavy oil mining has been mainly cold mining. However, with the extension of development time, the stratigraphic energy was reduced, and some heavy oil wells were stopped one after another to thicken the oil. Last year, a plant in Tahe Oil Production Factory started to introduce a new type of immersion thickening pump, in the hope of continuously developing heavy oil and controlling water production. Shortly thereafter, the plant conducted a pilot test of the submerged thickener pump at well TK488. As the pump mainly uses plunger inertia force into the oil, commonly known as fishing oil, into the oil channel, crude oil relative wellbore does not flow, heavy oil into the pump resistance is small, pumping thick water control effect is obvious. At present, the pumping thick pump is operating normally, TK488 well has accumulated production of more than 1,500 tons of crude oil. At present, the plant is deploying follow-up tests and further tracking evaluation, and plans to gradually promote the immersion thick pump in Tahe oilfield heavy oil area.
